Why am I not a billionaire?
Security, Super Human Driving, and Questions you should be asking your AI
I’m trying an AI + human in the loop format this time. Anything written by AI is in regular text and anything that I write will be in italics.

Trust Me, I’m Local: Chrome Extensions, MCP, and the Sandbox Escape: The article discusses the serious security risks associated with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers running on local machines. MCP servers can be open for any connection and act as a bridge to external resources within a company. Yuval says that running MCP servers is an "entirely new attack surface" for hackers and I agree with him. I was surprised that there was no authentication concept shipped with the original MCP spec —they added OAuth a few weeks ago. Even something as simple as a shared token would have been good initially. I guess that would be a much harder thing for users to implement. This all goes to show you how embryonic these concepts still are.
Claude can now connect to your world: Somewhat related to the above, Claude can now conduct in-depth research using advanced modes that search the web, Google Workspace, and even the connected integrations. This is clearly a powerful tool. They will need to back it up with training to help people understand how to use it —which is still the hard part.
Watching o3 guess a photo’s location is surreal, dystopian and wildly entertaining: The o class of models has the ability to guess the location of a photo based solely on its visual features, resembling elements from science fiction. I tried this a couple of times and it’s cute. The main takeaway for me was that the multi step reasoning and tool use of these models is a game changer. For now, companies still will need integration folks to figure out how to put these capabilities to work.

With OpenAI’s new memory capabilities you can use it to help you identify blind spots.
Try something like “Based on everything you know about me why am I not a billionaire”.
You, of course, can replace “billionaire” with anything your heart desires —assuming you know what that is which is actually pretty hard to know.
A variant on this could be “Based on everything you know about me, how can I be a better husband”.
The key to making this work is for you to have talked to ChatGPT about your problems more broadly. Also it only works on the paid version of ChatGPT.

New Study: Waymo is reducing serious crashes and making streets safer for those most at risk: This study, set to be published in the Traffic Injury Prevention Journal, reveals a 92% reduction in pedestrian injuries and an 85% decrease in crashes leading to serious injuries compared to human drivers over 56.7 million miles. At some point in the near future, we will probably look at driving your own car similar to how people look at driving without a seatbelt. Wild.
Port of Los Angeles says shipping volume will plummet 35% next week as China tariffs start to bite: The Port of Los Angeles anticipates a significant decrease in shipments from China, with cargo volumes expected to drop over 35% next week compared to the same time last year due to the impact of tariffs imposed by President Trump. No recession plz. I’m still hungover from COVID.

Just take my money and get it over with.
🔈What I'm listing to
I don’t normally Hormozi but I happened across this one on a long drive while I was supercharging outside of an IKEA and found it insightful. The main takeaway for me was to work to understand the business you are ACTUALLY in vs the one you THINK you are in. I know it seems obvious but if Im being honest its not something that rarely happens in practice. He is on to something here.
